The Gypsy or the Bowerbird you can decide, is one of the fun-loving boss babes of this operation. A down to earth kiwi gal, who has a fabulous sense of humour, enjoys good food and wine, and loves to travel. She is helplessly in love with the vintage Indian and Moroccan pieces that travel over-seas and oceans to get to us. A mother to three wonderfully energetic little boys she finds peace and solace in sourcing beautiful pieces for our store.
Claire
The second of the fun-loving boss babes. Mother of two girls, lover of great food, sleep, and all things nice! Scrolling social media and magazines searching for likeminded artisans who share our aesthetic is where you will find her when she isn’t behind the computer. Claire is eager to share the kid in a candy store experience with our customers upon each visit, or a Christmas came early feeling when your parcel arrives beautifully wrapped in the post.
Fi
Is our customer relations extraordinaire! Everybody knows her and loves her, she is always up for a chat and will try her best to remember you by name and the exact pieces you love the most. Fi welcomes you not only to our store but makes you feel a part of our family here at Gypsy and the Bowerbird. When she’s not in store, she loves being a mum, to her two children, and hanging out with friends. She’s quite partial to a glass of wine with some yummy cheese and all things social.
Tiarna
(we call her T for short) is our in-house florist. She finds pulse and inspiration in nature, a passionate collector of moments that feed her soul. Curious, she loves exploring and paints life with her own colours. You'll find her in-store obsessing over artisan potteries and caressing new linens - she's a lover of all things texture!
Em
Our visual merchandiser loves nothing more than making a space look pretty, tinkering with homewares in store and rearranging furniture. Happiest having a chat over a good glass of wine with family and friends, she finds joy in the small things. Em makes the most of her free time with weekend get-aways spent with her husband & little boy Freddy.
Caitlin
Our youngest team member, Caitlin a full-time nursing student who when she’s not studying is caring for her growing collection of indoor houseplants and drinking cups of coffee! She is meticulously organised and keeps our storeroom functional, helping pack and ship your orders! When on the floor you’ll find Caitlin re-merchandising and ensuring the shop is kept tidy and beautiful.
